- 5 cool courses in the forest!
The climbing courses in Frederiksdal
In the beautiful Frederiksdal Forest in Virum, there are 4 courses in the trees and 1 on the forest floor. The courses vary in height and difficulty, so there is a guarantee of both physical and mental challenge - regardless of level.
Take your family, friends, colleagues or lover on an action-packed forest trip!
CHILDREN'S COURSE
Climbing time: 10 – 20 Min
- Highest point of the track: 1 meter.
- Height requirement: None.
- On the forest floor below the climbing courses, even the youngest forest visitors can try their hand at the children's course.
- The goal is to get around the course (without touching the "toxic soil!) by walking on a tightrope, jumping from tree stump to tree stump, swinging on ropes and climbing intricate wooden structures.
- Neither a climbing harness, helmet nor instruction is necessary.
- Parents can follow along the course and lend a supporting hand.
- The children's course is always open and can be used freely outside the climbing park's opening hours.
YELLOW TRACK
Climbing time: 10 – 15 Min
- Highest point of the track: 4 meters.
- Height requirement: At least 130 cm.
- The yellow course is easy for an experienced climber, but can easily give wobbly knees to a first-time climber who is not used to heights.
- The obstacles are uncomplicated and stable, but 4 meters above the forest floor, things are not quite as simple as they seem.
- The track has one zip line, which departs from the highest point of the track.
- Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 15 years old.
GREEN TRACK
Climbing time: 15 – 30 Min
- Highest point of the course: 8 meters.
- Height requirement: At least 135 cm.
- On the green course, your balance is put to the test. The obstacles are not technically difficult, but they are longer and wobblier than on the yellow course.
- Along the way, 2 fun zip lines will give you wind in your hair and make your stomach drop.
- Halfway through the course, there is an alternative descent so that the course can be shortened.
- Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 15 years old.
BLUE TRACK
Climbing time: 35 – 60 Min
- Highest point of the course: 12 meters.
- Height requirement: At least 140 cm.
- The blue course is twice as long and twice as difficult as the green course. The obstacles are long and wobbly, making them more technical and physically demanding.
- The difference in level is already noticeable from the start, where a narrow tree trunk, with narrow notches for hands and feet, must be climbed to get from the ground to the first platform of the course.
- The blue course has two of the park's longest zip lines. One is 130 meters long and speeds through the forest, and the other departs from the forest edge and crosses the parking lot.
- Just over halfway - after the first zip line - there is an alternative descent.
- Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 15 years old.
RED TRACK
Climbing time: 30 – 45 Min
- Highest point of the course: 16 meters.
- Height requirement: At least 150 cm.
- On the red course you can feel the trees swaying in the wind. This course requires physical strength and courage.
- A number of difficult and tough obstacles must be overcome on the route around the treetops.
- The red course begins with a 12-meter vertical climb up a giant ladder, which makes you sweat from the very beginning of the course.
- The first zip line crosses a clearing in the treetops, and the second is a free-fall zip line that ends in a large net.
- Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 15 years old.

Please note!
From the start time, the instruction takes 30 minutes and then you have 3.5 hours to climb - so a total of 4 hours in the facility.
The Gul bane ticket only gives access to the yellow course, regardless of height and age.
Children under 10 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult (15 years+) on the courses.
Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (15 years+) when climbing on blue or red courses.
The reason for this is that some children need to be guided along the way through the safety system and obstacles. The rule prevents those climbing behind from having to wait a long time for those climbing ahead.
Weight requirements of maximum 110 kg per person apply on all courses.
